[So, that new store that opened up! He'd already been out anyway--mostly killing time before he grabbed lunch and went to visit Ash--so hey, why not check it out?
There's some neat stuff in there, though there isn't a lot that grabs Fugo's eye. He does grab a box set of books he hasn't read yet, a new very nice notebook(!!!), and what he thinks is a nice new pen! It's a pretty good haul, he thinks. There was an odd moment when he was at the register where he heard a commotion somewhere in the store, but aside from drawing his attention away from the shopkeeper for a few moments, it didn't seem to be a big deal, so he paid it no mind.
... Honestly, he forgot about it entirely by the time he got to the campsite, bag of his purchases from that shop in one hand, and his and Ash's usual order from Five Guys in the other.]
[Ash has no idea about any new shop, and frankly with his limited space that's for the best. He's outside today, airing out what he can and basically doing a little spring cleaning and cleaning up some of the debris and shit that's fallen around his RV.
[Ash takes the bag and ducks back inside to get some plates. The weather's nice, so he bought a cheap folding table and chairs so he can eat outside. Might as well use them today.]
[Might as well! He's taken a seat at the table by the time Ash gets back outside.]
Place is pretty much a thrift store, but they had practically new notebooks-- really nice ones, check it out. [He grabs the one he bought. Pretty much entirely unused and leather-bound.] Plus, they had a box set of books from a series I've wanted to get into for a while.
[He gets that out and sets it on the table, but then pauses when he looks in the bag again.]
... Wait, I didn't buy that, how'd that get--
[And that's when he pulls out what is definitely an ARCUS.]

Hey!

He looks up when he hears Pat, smiling.]
'Bout time, I'm starvin'. What's the other bag?
no subject
[He holds out the Five Guys bag to Ash so he can start getting stuff out of the other bag.]
no subject
Yeah? Anythin' good?

What the fuck. How do you have a fuckin' ARCUS, Pat?!
no subject
[He just. Sets that on the table, clearly perplexed.]
no subject
Thing comes with a fuckin' Master Quartz too, what the fuck. Was this at that store?

[He sets down the ARCUS, open so they can see the Master Quartz, and snaps a picture to send in the Class VII chat later.]
I'll let Albarea and them know later. An' just to make sure, you sure you ain't from Zemuria in a past life?

[...]
Never been to Venezia this time around, still remember the docks at San Giorgio Maggiore clear as day.

[Purple Haze.]
Just makin' sure. Shit. Were there any others?

[...............]
Side note, I think I know why I get weird about listening to particular bands now. Anyway--
[To actually answer Ash's question...]
There might've been? I hadn't exactly gone looking for them, and I was thinking more about the stuff I had actually wanted to buy.

[Eh, whatever. He's hungry, so he hands Fugo his plate and takes his.]
I can show you how it works later, if you want. Mostly.
no subject
[He's like 85% sure he saw a legit Rolex watch in there? Which. What the hell.]
I'd appreciate it if you did.
no subject
[He picks up the pen Pat bought, mostly just to mess with while they talk.]
Dunno if he can make his do the link--whoa!
[While messing with the pen, he pulled the cap off.
That is now a sword.]
no subject
[THAT SURE IS A SWORD NOW.]
... I thought that was an ordinary pen when I bought it.
no subject
[He's just going to try and put the cap back on and watch in utter confusion as it. Goes back on.]
Maybe don't try writin' with that.
no subject
Right, I'm... I'm just going to grab some new pens at Walmart next time I'm there.
[W e l p.]
I think I might have something else to ask Mr. Albarea about now...

I think fencing might be more my thing, but I can't say that's not tempting.

Wow, I bet.
