Yeah. Fuck, we can decorate it like we want--wait. Uh. We? What level of "we" are we talking about here?

[It occurs to Ash that he is just assuming that Pat will want him to move in with him.]

[... To be fair, Pat was assuming the same thing. He sits up.]

I mean, I kind of figured you'd be moving in with me. [And then, for emphasis--] Decorating our new home the way we want sounds like a lot of fun.

[switchaxe]

Yeah?

[Ash smiles and gets up.]

Then wait right here.

[Out of the teapot he goes! He may be a minute, he seems to have lost something.]

[He tilts his head a bit as he watches Ash leave. But he does wait where he is as he was told, Noodle jumping up to join him on the bed as he waits.]

[Ten minutes later, Ash returns looking frazzled and a little frantic.]

Sorry. Uh, think Berry or Orthie got into my shit. Nearly lost this.

[He sits back down and pulls out a small box. It's not fancy, and he's not getting on any knees because this isn't that, but the box does have a very nice, simple ring with a red gem set like a strawberry on it and the word "promise" engraved on the inside.

Okay, maybe not so simple.]

Ash, is this...

[He's quiet as he takes the ring out of the box to examine it, and he can't quite help the way his breath hitches a little at seeing "promise" engraved on the inside.]

[switchaxe]

Yeah, it is. We're too fuckin' young for anything else and need to get our lives under some kinda control first but...if you want it, I want you.

I definitely want it, yeah.

[As he turns to pull Ash into a kiss.

When he pulls back, he holds the ring out to Ash and offers his hand.]

[switchaxe]

[And on it goes.]

Hell yeah, it fits. Oh, I got a chain in my stuff for it, if you want.

Yeah, I'd like that.

[He plans to mostly wear it as a ring, but the chain is a nice option.]

[switchaxe]

Great. Don't want you losin' it out there with the nerd crew.

[Field work is a bad place for rings.]

Yeah, exactly.

[God, he just. Needs a moment to admire how the ring looks on his hand. Holy shit, this is happening.

Also he just. Needs to pull Ash into another kiss holy shit--]

[He'll give it a few minutes before he retrieves the deed again and holds it up.]

So, uh, should we... go check the place out?

[switchaxe]

Yeah. Pick whatever vehicle except Aegis. [Yeah, he thinks he likes Aegis for his Miraidon's name.] She's tired.

Yeah, let's let her rest. We can take my car.

[switchaxe]

Hell yeah. Meet you outside, I gotta clean up a bit.

[Running with the dogs and all.]

Alright.

[He smiles, stealing a quick kiss before grabbing his keys and heading outside.]

[switchaxe]

[It takes Ash a few minutes but soon enough he's out and joining Pat in the car.]

What's the address? I'll pull up GPS.

[infezione]

[He'll read that off so Ash can put it into the GPS. It's a spot in the general vicinity of Blue Fish Park.]

[switchaxe]

Ooh, nice location.

[Off they go! He reaches over and rests a hand on Pat's knee. He is maybe a little clingy after Asgard, still.]

[And while Pat can't keep his own hand there, he does drop his hand down every time they've stopped to gently squeeze Ash's hand a little.

After a while, they get to the house and Pat's jaw drops upon seeing it. Even just the front yard and driveway are massive, holy shit--]

[They are TEENAGERS how the fuck is this happening?]

... No need to worry about having room for the dogs, I guess.

[Holy shit. He parks the car in the driveway, then gets out, moving to get Ash's door for him immediately.]
